No firearm experience or Firearm Owner’s Identification (FOID) Card is needed to take this class to get an Illinois Conceal Carry Permit. This class covers handling, maintenance, use, and the law as it pertains to handguns in Illinois. No firearm experience is needed and we regularly find that students who have never shot before are some of the more accurate shooters in the class. All classes start at 8 AM in the armory on both days. On the second day (Sunday) we go to the range for the shooting qualification. Active or retired military need to only attend Sunday but must provide a copy of their DD214 or other proof of service.
